Cefdinir is used in the treatment of common bacterial infections such as, middle ear infections, Tonsillitis, Throat infection, Pneumonia, and Sinus infections. Like all antibiotics, it is not effective against viruses such as the common cold and Influenza.
How Should I Use This Medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with water. Follow the directions on your prescription label. You may take this medicine with or without food. If it upsets your stomach it may help to take it with food. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take all your medicine as directed even if you think you are better.
Over dosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
Where Should I Keep My Medicine?
Keep out of reach of children. Store between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
What Should I Watch For While Using This Medicine?
Tell your health care provider if your symptoms do not get better in 3-4 days. For women: antibiotics can weaken the effects of oral birth control pills, please use alternative birth control until you have finished your medication and have your next period.
